L'Oreal Revitalift Skincare

Even though you may not see it written up here, I try a lot of skincare products. Skincare is so personal and everything I write about is rooted in personal experience, so if something doesn’t work for me there’s very little chance that I’ll share my perspective. I’m eager to try new products and when I was challenged to try products from the L’Oreal Revitalift™ line for four weeks solid, I eagerly accepted. After a skincare questionnaire, the L’Oreal team recommended three products for me:

Of the three products I tried, I love the Revitalift™ Triple Power™ Day Lotion Moisturizer SPF 20 the most.  It’s very hydrating without being overly greasy, absorbs quickly, and is moderately thick in consistency so it feels substantial. I’m appreciative of the SPF 20 protection and the combination of quick absorption & thicker texture make it perfect as a pre-makeup moisturizer.

Similar to the daytime moisturizer, the Revitalift™ Triple Power™ Eye Treatment was a pleasant surprise. I love the iron-shaped applicator, though I wouldn’t always use it during application (I prefer to use my fingers). I would describe the texture as a gel cream, though more hydrating than most gel eye cream that I’ve tried. As I’ve mentioned here before, my eyes are my biggest aging concern. There is an improvement in the fine lines around the very edges and my under eyes looked more hydrated under makeup.

The last product that I tried was the Revitalift™ Triple Power™ Intensive Overnight Mask. In general, I have a tough time finding a “sleeping mask” that I feel is hydrating enough. My skin used to be very oily, but since I turned 30 my skin has gotten more combination with a normal t-zone & drier cheeks. Like many other sleeping masks, the Revitalift™ Triple Power™ Intensive Overnight Mask has “memory technology”, meaning that the surface will be slightly bouncy to the touch and in the jar it will magically smooth over like you haven’t used any product at all. To reach an ideal hydration level for me, I mixed in a couple drops of oil on the back of my hand with the mask before applying it at night. In the morning, my skin was hydrated, toned, and bouncy – just like I like it.

While I’m not sure if overnight masks are quite right for me, I’ll definitely continue to use the Revitalift™ Triple Power™ Day Lotion Moisturizer SPF 20 and Revitalift™ Triple Power™ Eye Treatment even though my four week challenge is through. There’s some great skincare in the drugstore, since most drugstore brands benefit from the r&d of their parent companies. Skin breakthroughs at a fraction of the price? Sign me up.
